We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Adelaide, South Australia, for this year’s Congress. Known for its charm and accessibility, Adelaide is a city that’s easy to get around, making it an enjoyable and stress-free visit for our local and international delegates.

Adelaide Airport is just 6 kilometres from the city centre, which means you can go from landing to your hotel in about 15 minutes. There are plenty of transport options including taxis, rideshares, and shuttles to help you get into the city quickly. Once you're in the city, navigating Adelaide is straightforward. The central area is compact, with many places (including our recommended accommodation options) within walking distance, Additionally, the city offers free tram services within the central business district, making it even easier to move around without hassle. If you plan to explore the region before or after the congress, there are several touring options available:

  • Barossa Valley: Approximately an hour's drive from Adelaide, this region is celebrated for its world-class wineries and picturesque landscapes. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, gourmet food, and scenic vineyard views.
  • McLaren Vale: Located about 45 kilometres south of Adelaide, McLaren Vale boasts beautiful beaches and a vibrant arts scene, alongside its esteemed wineries.
  • Kangaroo Island: A short flight or ferry ride away, this island is famed for its unique wildlife, pristine beaches, and natural landmarks like the Remarkable Rocks.
  • Adelaide Hills: Just a 20-minute drive from the city, this area offers charming villages, lush gardens, and panoramic views. It's an ideal spot for nature walks and sampling local produce.
