Professor Ray Chan

Professor Ray Chan (RN, PhD, FACN, FAAN) is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Matthew Flinders Professor of Cancer Care, Systems and Policy, Flinders University. Prof Chan’s research program focuses on optimising models of care, and health service and policy responses to address the needs of people affected by cancer. Prof Chan holds/has held a range of international and national leadership roles including Executive Board Director of Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer; Board Director for the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care; and President for the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia. In 2021, he was inducted to the Sigma Theta Tau International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame.
