Ms Kristina Rua
Kristina Rua, MSN, RN, OCN, ONN-CG is currently the Executive Director of Clinical Operations at The University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, South Florida’s only National Cancer Institute Designated cancer center, where she oversees the oncology service line, inpatient clinical research, the oncology urgent care clinics and the oncology navigation program.
With over 20 years of healthcare experience, Kristina has spoken nationally on topics including Artificial Intelligence in Cancer Care, Oncology Navigation, Women’s Health, Billing for Oncology Navigation Services and Establishing Oncology Navigation Programs. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals on topics such as “Role Delineation in Oncology Navigation” and research on Gynecological Cancers.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Barry University, a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Clinical Systems Leadership, a Certificate from the Institute of Health in Quality and Safety and is a certified Oncology Nurse and Oncology Nurse Navigator.
During her free time, she serves as the Chair of the Board of Gilda’s Club South Florida, a non-for-profit organization that provides resources for patients undergoing cancer treatment. She is the past president of the Florida Academy of Oncology Nurse and Patient Navigators local navigation network and is actively involved nationally in the Academy of Oncology Nurse and Patient Navigators as the co-chair of their conference planning committee.
